Students were able to hone their letter writing skills, count, track, and total the mail received, view states and countries on a map, and consider the weather of different locations. This lesson aligned with teacher-based team learning goals and contributed to a positive community learning environment for all students. This memorable student learning experience is one that students will treasurer throughout their academic journey. They reached their goal of receiving mail from every state in just 12 days (221 letters and packages by Feb. 12). In total, they received 800 cards, packages, and letters with the mail truck stopping at school more than once to deliver packages.

Principal’s Message
Kyle Elementary School serves more than 215 students in grades K-2, and it is nestled in the Troy Historic District. Kyle Elementary is committed to providing our youngest students with a positive beginning to their journey as Trojans. Kyle Elementary was built in 1950 and named after Lt. Col. Barton S. Kyle, an early settler to the area and former president of the Troy School Board. The current building rests on the site of the original Kyle School, which was built in 1884.
Kyle Elementary has been awarded Bronze Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Certification by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. Kyle Elementary students learn about The Trojan Way, the district's K-12 PBIS program. The Trojan Way has four major components:
Together: "Think we, not me!"
Resilience: "Never give up!"
Own it: "Be accountable!"
You matter: Respect yourself and others!"
The Kyle Elementary staff works hard to provide a safe, fun and caring environment for our students. We want students to experience academic and personal success during their time at Kyle Elementary. It is our goal to help your children become excited about learning and prepare them for their future. We encourage you to be a part of the educational process and invite you to visit our school.
Do not hesitate to contact us at Kyle Elementary if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Mr. Dillon
